CEDARVILLE, Michigan – April 24th, 2026 – The Marine Trades Institute (MTI) is pleased to announce the successful re-accreditation of its Marine Technology School, home to the Marine Service Technology Program. Under the guidance of experienced instructors Kevin Flood and Mark Bohmier, the program has once again met the rigorous standards required for recognition by the Marine Trades Accreditation Program (MTAP).
This designation, granted following a comprehensive site visit and a unanimous vote by the MTAP Review Commission, confirms that MTI continues to provide consistent, career-focused instruction that meets the evolving needs of the marine industry. MTAP is established by the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC), a nonprofit organization that sets global safety standards for boat building and repair.
