Crafted for a Cause 2025

Join us for a special evening as the Marine Trades Institute proudly celebrates 20 years of marine training!

On Friday, August 22nd, from 6PM to 9PM, we invite you to Les Cheneaux Distillers for our “Crafted for a Cause” event – a night of celebrating our community’s rich tradition of marine craftsmanship!

Your ticket to this fantastic evening includes:

  • Delicious dinner by LCD featuring pulled chicken/pork/beef sandwiches, homemade coleslaw, fruit, veggies, and chips!
  • Two drink tickets
  • Vendor and Boat Displays Live music
  • Automatic entry into the Reverse Raffle with a $5,000 grand prize!
  • Live music by the Haske Brothers


All proceeds from “Crafted for a Cause” will directly benefit the MTI Student Enrichment Fund. This vital fund elevates the MTI student experience by supporting essential equipment purchases, enriching field trips, and valuable professional development opportunities, ensuring our students receive the best possible training.

Your ticket includes automatic entry into the Reverse Raffle! You’ll have a chance to win one of 20 amazing prizes as we celebrate our 20th anniversary in style.

In a reverse raffle, prizes are awarded to the last tickets drawn rather than the first. To celebrate our anniversary, we have collected 20 wonderful prizes such as outings and experiences, boating merch, gifts, cash prizes, and other treasures all valued at $50 or more. During the evening, we will draw names of guests in batches. The last 20 names drawn will each go home with a prize – and the very last name drawn will take home the grand prize of $5,000!
